We are seeking a skilled Atlassian Administrator to oversee and enhance our Atlassian toolset. This position demands a robust technical foundation, the capability to craft tailored workflows, and the experience necessary to ensure integration for efficient operations.
Atlassian Product Administration:
Administer and sustain the comprehensive suite of Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, Opsgenie, Bamboo, Trello, and Crowd.
Configure and customize tools to meet organizational requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
Ensure system stability, security, and compatibility across both cloud and on-premise Atlassian environments.
Workflow and Process Optimization:
Design, implement, and refine workflows utilizing Jira and other Atlassian tools to support various business functions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop customized workflows, automation, and processes for project management, service requests, and software development.
Utilize Jira Automation and scripting tools (e.g., Groovy, ScriptRunner) to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
Integration and Automation:
Integrate Atlassian tools with each other and third-party applications (e.g., Slack, ServiceNow, GitHub, Jenkins).
Ensure consistent data flow among Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and external systems using REST APIs and plugins.
User Support and Collaboration:
Educate end-users, team leads, and project managers on best practices for using Jira Software, Trello, and other Atlassian tools in Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.
Assist IT teams in managing incidents, service requests, and problem tickets in Jira Service Management.
Foster collaboration across teams by promoting the use of Confluence for centralized knowledge sharing and documentation.
System Maintenance and Training:
Monitor system performance, conduct health checks, and proactively address potential issues.
Plan and perform system upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Atlassian tools, creating documentation for configurations, workflows, processes, and best practices for end-users.
Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian products (e.g., Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Project Management:
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced configuration of workflows, schemes (permissions, notifications, issue types, and field configurations), custom fields, and automations.
Proficient in managing spaces, permissions, templates, and integrating Atlassian tools with other platforms.
Skilled in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy for Jira ScriptRunner, JavaScript, Python) and using Atlassian automation rules or add-ons (e.g., Automation for Jira, Jira Misc Workflow Extensions).
Capable of developing and deploying custom plugins via the Atlassian SDK.
Advanced usage of JQL (Jira Query Language) for complex searches and reporting.
Experienced in installing, configuring, and managing Atlassian Marketplace add-ons (e.g., Tempo, Insight, EazyBI).
Knowledgeable in utilizing Atlassian REST APIs for system integrations and data manipulation.
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues with Jira or Confluence and efficiently archive old projects/data for better performance.
Manage instance upgrades, migrations, and backups, ensuring compliance with security policies alongside Cloud Ops and SecOps teams.
