Junior DevOps Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, along with hands-on experience or understanding of DevOps tools and practices such as CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.

• Work with development teams to automate application deployment processes.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.

• Manage containerized applications using Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.

• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security best practices.

• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Key Qualifications

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, LAMBDA).

• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services).

• Understanding of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.

• Understanding of version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect Associate (optional but preferred).

• Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts and security groups.
